Hey there! Thanks for following me throughout this three part summer journey through wedding land. Alas, here is my final wedding choice of the summer.

This time I opted for a light blue linen Trina Turk dress (yes, another consignment shop find) and repeated the Donald J Pliner heels (they were just so darn comfortable the first time around). Trina Turk is one of my favorite designers. There is nothing like a brand that consistently fits well. If you are foreign to the fashion world, a great first step is to find a couple of designers or brands that not only look good, but fit you really well. That way you don’t have to start from square one every time you need something new.

Results: The dress was light, bright and airy, perfect for a beautiful outdoor affair. The shoes came off at about 10pm. Dancing in heels is difficult on the grass.

Feeling overwhelmed or uninspired? Remember…

  • Comfort matters (shoes can be removed!)
  • There is no need to break your budget
  • One word: consignment
  • Accessories can re-energize a plain dress or ensemble (read here)
  • Seize the chance to dress up and express yourself in a new way (have fun!)
